Click Click emerged through repetition and revision. While working I listened to Swamp by Talking Heads; its rhythmic tension echoed the accumulative process of the painting. I’m interested in holding tension rather than resolving it, inviting slow looking and a navigation of density, interruption, and restraint. Oil allows for depth and reworking, and I work in layered abstraction because it reflects an evolving internal landscape rather than a fixed image.
